Americas Protein Obsession: How Much Do We Really Need

When people hear the word protein they usually think of something relating to muscles. I know tons of people that take protein shakes multiple times a day in the belief that “the more protein the better,” and feel like the only way they can grow huge muscles is to take in as much protein as is humanly possible. My aunt, who is very active and probably weighs no more than 130 pounds, takes protein shakes every day because she thinks she needs them and they are healthy.
